Study: Boulder, Fort Collins are two of the nation’s most fitness-friendly cities

BOULDER — Both Boulder and Fort Collins are in the top 10 most fitness-friendly cities in the United States, according to a new SmartAsset study. Boulder ranks sixth on the list and Fort Collins clocks in at number nine. Colorado's new law allowing employers to give hiring preference to veterans stirs debate

Colorado legislators in June approved a bill intended to encourage employers to adopt veterans’ hiring preference programs. But the debate has continued since then about whether it will be a boon or hindrance to former service members finding work. BOULDER — Fleet Feet Sports LLC, a North Carolina-based chain of running-shoe stores, has inked a deal to acquire JackRabbit, the private equity-backed parent company of Boulder Running Company. “Boulder Running Company remains an iconic part of the running community and industry as a whole.
